New guests announced for Megacon Orlando 2018

Megacon, the Southeast’s largest fan convention with shows in both Orlando and Tampa Bay, has announced new celebrity appearances and programming for this year’s show, which takes place Thursday May 24th through Sunday May 27th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Whilst the line-up was already star-studded, the organisers have recently added even more celebrities, including

Billy Dee Williams and Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars)

Jodi Benson and Christopher Daniel Barnes (The Little Mermaid)
Rob Liefeld (Deadpool and X-Force)

In addition to over 400,000 square feet of shopping madness and an incredible celebrity line up, MEGACON Orlando’s 2018 programming highlights include:

MASTER OF COSPLAY SOUTHEAST QUALIFIER
Practice the art of cosplay in the Master of Cosplay Grand Prix, a new cosplay competition created by FAN EXPO HQ in 2018. Guests can compete in the Southeast Qualifier at MEGACON Orlando on Saturday, May 26 for a chance to win prizes and compete for the title as FAN EXPO’s very first Master of Cosplay Champion in an international finale to be held in Toronto as part of FAN EXPO Canada on Labor Day weekend.

BATMOBILE FROM TIM BURTON’S 1989 BATMAN FILM
Get up close to one of the most famous vehicles in all of film history; The Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1989 movie “Batman”.

HALO ODST DROP POD EXPERIENCE
Visionary Entertainment Inc will be joining MEGACON this year and bringing with it the Halo Drop Pod experience. Jump feet first into Hell with this Halo experience. Visionary Entertainment brings Halo ODST characters to life, in a performance followed by a ride in the ODST Drop Pod simulated, plus green screen photos ops too!

STAR WARS BY THE 501ST LEGION
The 501st Legion is one of the greatest fan organizations in the world, and fortunately MEGACON is one of the biggest events of the year for them. If you love Star Wars, you’ll have a busy weekend with panels, workshops and all kinds of Star Wars themed activities. The Stormtroopers provide a spectacle for the eye every year with an elaborate booth, and amazing photo opportunities throughout the weekend.

GREATER FLORIDA LEGO USERS GROUP
Hundreds of square feet of Lego wonderland! Sprawling display with fun and interesting moving parts! Lego play stations so you can build your own creations! All weekend in the Family Zone!

COSPLAY PHOTO PARK
Put on your best costume and get ready to strike a pose in MEGACON’s Cosplay Photo Park!, This awesome feature will allow you and your friends to gather around and get that amazing shot on themed backdrops like a medieval castle, space age exploration, or a post-apocalyptic streetscape.
