‘Death House’ Interview: Tony Moran
With the highly- anticipated horror Death House being released in cinemas, I got a chance to ask with actor Tony Moran about how he got involved with the film, what we can expect and what it was like working on Death House.
How did you first get into acting?
I actually got into it when I was 9yrs old. did one commercial, hated it and quit. the same agent I had at 9yrs kept asking me throughout growing up to get back in, when I was 19yrs I decided to get back in.
You are known for playing the face of Michael Myers in the original Halloween series, with Nick Castle credited as The Shape. With Nick Castle returning for the new Halloween reboot, is there a chance that you could be returning as well?
Not on this one I don’t think.
You play Miguel in the upcoming horror film Death House. Can you tell what we can expect from the film?
This will be a one of a kind, very unique, blockbuster horror film I believe.
How did you become involved in the film?
Felissa Rose is a producer on the film. she is from Sleepaway Camp fame and a very close friend to me and she asked me.
Can you tell me a little bit about what your character?
I really can’t. I’m sorry. I’ve been sworn to secrecy.
Death House brings together some of the biggest names in horror. What was it like being involved in such a landmark project?
I had a blast. all of these guys are my friends.
What was your favourite part of filming Death House?
My scene which I can’t divulge.
Do you have any other future projects which you will be working on?
Yes, I have a couple independent movies I will be working on in the next few months. Horror movies of course.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into acting?
Good luck! Lol. seriously, get into an acting workshop and do as many projects as you can whether it be local theatre or independent movies that maybe don’t even pay, just get busy.
