UK gets a new horror film festival in ‘Fractured Visions’
Having established itself as the premiere cult cinematic event in Cardiff, Fractured Visions are now expanding and are pleased to announce the launch of the Fractured Visions Film Festival! Set to take place over the weekend of September 29th-30th, at the Tramshed Cinema, where everyone will be welcome to kick back, grab a beer and enjoy the films in luxury thanks to Tramshed’s beautiful seating, the festival looks to bring:
…the best in independent horror to the BIG screen for a weekend filled with bloodshed, scares, laughs and downright terror! We aren’t interested in the big budget studio fare that will be projected in every cinema across the globe, we want to promote the underdogs and we want to promote the future of the genre.
Of course, it’s impossible to acknowledge the future without paying respect to the past, and as such, we will be inviting a true genre legend to the festival and will hold a double-bill and master class that will be illuminating for film fans and filmmakers in attendance.
Headed-up by filmmaker Phillip Escott (Cruel Summer) and film academic Dr. Mikel J. Koven (La Dolce Morte), the Fractured Visions Film Festival promises to be an event for both film lovers and filmmakers. Not only will there be plenty to see, but the organisers have promised there’ll be plenty to do too – including an epic pub quiz, with prizes galore to be won, hosting an award ceremony, holding Q&A’s with filmmakers and generally having a grand ol’ time!
Submissions for the Fractured Visions Film Festival are now open via Film Freeway – and look out for more information on the festival as we get it!
