AMC have announced that it will premiere AMC Visionaries: Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics on Monday 8th January at 9:00pm, available exclusively to BT customers. Said Kirkman:

My love for the world of comics knows no bounds. It’s a universe of amazing stories that has been driving pop culture as a whole for decades. Being able to explore the nooks and crannies of this world has allowed me to find out secrets even I didn’t know. It’s been a pleasure putting this series together and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to finally share it with the world.

The six-part one-hour documentary series takes a deeper look into the stories, people and events that have transformed the world of comic books and features interviews with icons such as Stan Lee, Patty Jenkins, Lynda Carter, Kevin Smith, Famke Janssen, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Rodriguez, and Todd McFarlane, among many others.

AMC Visionaries is a year-round documentary series in which ground-breaking artists celebrate, curate and author the untold stories and fascinating histories of their respective genres. Forthcoming instalments in the series include AMC Visionaries: James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction, AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror, and AMC Visionaries: Rap Yearbook executive produced by Black Thought and QuestLove.

AMC is available free of charge in the UK to BT customers on channel number 332 on BT TV, and to BT Sport Pack subscribers on Sky channel 192. AMC is also available in HD on both BT TV and Sky with an HD subscription.
