‘Star Trek: Discovery’ gets 2nd season renewal
Starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones and Jason Isaacs, Star Trek: Discovery follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship and new characters, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.
The first six episodes of Star Trek: Discovery are currently available to stream on Netflix, with new episodes available weekly on Mondays. The show, which airs on CBS All-Access in the US, will air in two chapters, with the final episode of chapter one debuting on Monday November 13th, and the second chapter, featuring the remaining six episodes, will return in January 2018.
But even without the first “chapter” of season one airing in its entirety, CBS and Netflix have announced, via Twitter, the second season renewal of Star Trek: Discovery.
