Fancy taking a “trek” across the UK this Whitsun Bank Holiday? It could take a different form from that which you imagine, if you make a beeline for Star Trek: The Exhibition, in Blackpool, and take to the controls of the USS Enterprise!

Whether you’re an avid Trekker, or more of a nostalgia-filled Trekkie, you’ll absolutely love the walk down memory lane that stepping into this amazing prop, costume, photo and set-piece emporium of the Enterprise, and all spaceships that came after her in the Star Trek franchise, provides.

Who could resist the opportunity to be beamed up – by app – in the Star Trek ‘Transporter’, or have their picture taken alongside the El Baz shuttle from Star Trek: The Next Generation. With over 100 original items to view, facts to read and appreciate, and even the chance to buy yourself a Captain Kirk shirt, Uhura dress, collectible, or Tribble in the gift shop, this is a must-do visitor attraction for anyone loving behind-the-scenes insights into the world of TV and movies.

Fly off to Blackpool for a bit of bridge time and you won’t regret it. Just check there are no Klingons on the starboard bow!

Tickets can be bought from www.startrekblackpool.co.uk at a cost of £12.50 for an adult, £9 for a child (11-15 years) and £38 for a family (2 adults + two children or 3 adults + 1 child). On-the-door tickets are priced at £14.50, £11 and £43 respectively.
