New images from ‘Blade Runner 2049’

Anyone else out there not excited at the prospect of a new Blade Runner film? I can’t say the idea of old man Deckard fills me with any anticipation for the 32 years later sequel, Blade Runner 2049… And this is coming from someone whose very first VHS purchase was the old “blue-spine” Warner Bros. releases of Blade Runner back in the early 90s.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 stars Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana De Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks. Once again Ridley Scott is at the helm – and after the disappointment that was Prometheus I hope to god he doesn’t ruin this franchises reputation too!
