by Phil Wheat

Mindless tells the story of Peter (Nicholas Vince) – a senile, middle-aged man whose house is mysteriously torn apart day after day. Is Peter a risk to himself or is something more sinister about to be unleashed?

This is the second year in a row Bonham has held a world premiere at Film 4’s Fightfest Glasgow; with her previous short film, The Paper Round, screened to great success as one of only two shorts selected in 2015.

Mindless was mostly self-funded by Bonham and shot over 2 days on location in Kent, England with a crew of eight and cast of four. Joining forces, for the first time, with prolific producer, Candice Redford (Banjo), this is the fourth short written and directed by Bonham and her longest offering to date. Bonham’s explosion onto the horror scene has also meant first assistant directing duties for Andy Stewart (Remnant), Damon Rickard (The Package), Chelsey Burdon (Dead Bitch) and Mark Logan (Rats). Bonham will be attending the festival to introduce Mindless.

Film 4’s Frightfest takes place on the 26th and 27th of February and is part of Glasgow Film Festival.
