First full trailer for Marvel’s Netflix series ‘Jessica Jones’
Arriving next month on Netflix, Jessica Jones is based on the critically-acclaimed, albeit short-lived, comic book series Alias (not to be confused with the Jennifer Garner-starring TV series of the same name). The 2001 series helped to spring-board the popularity of writer Brian Michael Bendis when it arrived as one of the initial titles in the launch of Marvel’s MAX line of mature-themed comic-books.
The series tells the story of the titular heroine, Jessica Jones, played by actress Krysten Ritter. She’s a former costumed crime-fighter who now lives in New York City and operates a private investigations firm dealing with all manner of comic book characters and crime from stalkers to supervillains. Marvel’s Man Without Fear himself often made cameos in the pages of Alias and we expect to see the same crossovers in this series as well.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones also stars Rachel Taylor as Trish Walker (aka Hellcat), Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and David Tennant as the shows villain, Purple Man. The series debuts on November 20th.
