The Rise of the Tomb Raider

When the original Tomb Raider game was launched on the fifth-generation PlayStation One in the 1990’s, few would have expected it to become a globally successful franchise with such longevity. The fact that it has become such an icon of popular culture is even more impressive, with the latest video game likely to take the market by storm. The Rise of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game that has been developed by Crystal Dynamics, and it is being marketed as the sequel to the 2013 instalment. Graphically improved and wit a greater depth of gameplay, however, it will even feature a crafting system through items can be made from scavenged items.

Battlefield: Hardline

Few games have experienced the level of evolution that has distinguished Battlefield, which has been transformed from an aging military shooter series into an episodic game that requires stealth, strategy and forethought. Battlefield: Hardline was therefore one of the most hotly anticipated releases for 2015, as this multiplayer game offers open-ended gameplay that is closer in spirit to modern trends and patterns. This is the ideal game for anyone who likes strategy and action in equal measure, and it has already sold a high volume of units since its release in March!

Halo 5: Guardians

This game is not scheduled for release until the autumn, although any instalment of the famed Halo series is likely to create a stir among gamers. Following the lukewarm response  among critics to the fourth instalment of the game, Halo 5: Guardians is set to be far more progressive and high octane, however, offering advanced multiplayer capabilities and taking far more risks in terms of narrative and gameplay. The game is also likely to be faster and far more engaging for experienced players – and this is the first time the franchise will ONLY appear on the Xbox One.
