Nerd Buy: ReAction Figures – T2, Star Trek, Arrow & more!
It’s been a while since we’ve run a Nerd Buy feature here on Nerdly – but what a way to bring it back! As a lifelong toy fan, I’m a sucker for Funko/Super 7’s ReAction figure line, which brings us all the 70s-styled, Kenner-like action figures we could ever possibly want. I’ve got a bunch already (the Horror line, Back to the Future) but I’m always in the market for more..
And here is more: Breaking Bad, Terminator 2, Star Trek, Arrow and even Taxi Driver. It’s an action figure collectors wet dream!
Taxi Driver – Travis Bickle ReAction Figure
Arguably, Taxi Driver was the movie that drew the world’s attention to the often double act of De Niro and Scorsese. it stands as one of the great movies of the last 50 years. Travis is featured here as he is seen in the later Jodie Foster rescue scenes. ReAction figures are a dream come true for 3 3/4″ collectors and their retro styling has rapidly produced it’s own modern collector base. A BIG expansion of the range coming in 2015.
The ReAction Travis Bickle figure stands around 10 cm tall. Comes on an illustrated backer card.
Star Trek (1960s) ReAction Figures
Star Trek classic gets a first series of releases, with a 2nd to follow shortly. All the classic characters in a retro styling familar to fans of early Kenner Star wars etc. ReAction figures are a dream come true for 3 3/4″ collectors and their retro styling has rapidly produced it’s own modern collector base. There is a BIG expansion of the range due in 2015 with lots of familiar properties and some totally unexpected ones getting the full-on retro treatment.
Arrow ReAction Figures
Arrow is rather loosely based on the DC Comic character Oliver Queen – known in the comics as Green Arrow. The show has been a huge success for the CW and has just been renewed for a 4th season of 23 episodes. ReAction figures are a dream come true for 3 3/4″ collectors and their retro styling has rapidly produced it’s own modern collector base.
Terminator 2 ReAction Figures
Funko follow up the recent release of figures for the first Terminator film with a new range based on Terminator 2. Featuring the 4 main characters, look for a lot more Terminator figures to come. The ReAction figures each stands around 10 cm tall and come packaged on an illustrated backer card.
Breaking Bad ReAction Figures
After the phenomenal success of the POP! figures it’s not surprising to see a range of ReAction. Breaking Bad continues to sell truck loads of DVD and Blu-Ray and do well in re-run, seems this is one show that’s here to stay for the near future, in merchandising terms. ReAction figures are a dream come true for 3 3/4″ collectors and their retro styling has rapidly produced it’s own modern collector base. A BIG expansion of the range due coming in 2015.
