Competition: Win two new documentaries with Safecracker Pictures

by Phil Wheat

Safe-Comp-Dec-2014

One of Nerdly’s favourite UK independent DVD distributors, Safecracker Pictures, have seen fit to unleash two new and wildly different documentaries on the UK public: the Viking documentary To Go Viking and rather more risque Fifty Shades: Real Women Confess – and we have copies of both to giveaway on DVD!

To Go Viking sees filmmaker Matt Poitras document the adventures of the Texas Jomsborg – a Viking re-enactment group, over an entire year as they embark on a spectacular campaign across Europe. Including a stop in Poland, where they engaged in a full contact fighting event at the 17th International Slavs and Vikings Festival at Wolin, a location which is speculated to be the actual historic birth place of the 10th Century Jomsborg Army.

Fifty Shades: Real Women Confess provides an inside look into the sexual, dominance and submission, counter-culture whose popularity has been revealed by the best-selling trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey.It sees real women reveal their experiences, wants and desires as dominant and subversive participants in BDSM. Using real-life re-enactments and dramatisations as well as interviews with participants and experts in the field – the film explores the roots of BDSM, how it is practiced and the reasons this fringe movement has now become more acceptible within contemporary society.
