Rise of the Iron Horde revealed in new ‘WoW: Warlords of Draenor’ opening cinematic
World of Warcraft fans rejoice, the latest expansion, the Warlords of Draenor, the fifth expansion of Blizzard’s MMO takes place on the world of Draenor, ancestral home to the orc and draenei races and promises to offer players hours of brand new content when it hits stores on November 13th.
Confession time: I’m not a huge WoW player. I’ve put some time in on the game but I’m ashamed to say I’m not the biggest MMO fan (in fact RPG in general aren’t my thing – I hate grinding). However here at Nerdly HQ there are a couple of HUGE World of Warcraft fans, fans who put in entire days of game play when they’re have nothing else to do. Fans who, come 6 O’clock every night log on to Blizzard’s server and join their clan for up to six hours of raiding a night. And who eagerly await each and every new expansion to the game….
Their enthusiasm is actually infectious – I know more about the expansions than the original game; and videos like that below do nothing but make even this non-fan excited to see where Blizzard are taking WoW. As with previous expansions, Warlords of Draenor will increase the level cap, allowing players to now level up to 100. However this time round we also get new dungeons and raids, and will introduce a new difficulty of raids called Mythic, which will be the hardest version of that raid – something which will please the World of Warcraft fans here at Nerdly!
Blizzard’s opening cinematic, shows a pivotal moment in Draenor history, when Garrosh Hellscream challenges destiny, preventing the orcish clans from drinking the blood of the demon lord Mannoroth. The clans unite into an “Iron Horde” and begin a war of conquest on Draenor changing the fate of the orcs forever.
So what do you think? Are you excited for the latest World of Warcraft expansion? Will you be buying it on release day? Let us know in the comments.
Warlords of Draenor is released on November 13th.
