‘She-Hulk XXX: An Axel Braun Parody’ Review (NSFW)

Porn parodies of superhero flicks are all the rage right now – it seems geeks can’t get enough of their favourite porn stars playing dress-up as their favourite superheroes and superheroines.
King of the superhero porn parody is Axel Braun, whose film Batman XXX: A Porn Parody was the best-selling and best-renting title of 2010, leading to distributors Vivid to create their own superhero movie imprint, releasing parodies of Spider-Man, Superman and The Avengers. His latest effort takes inspiration not from the big Hollywood superhero blockbusters, but from the pages of Marvel comics themselves as he brings us She-Hulk XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. She-Hulk XXX: An Axel Braun Parody is headlined by former WWE wrestler Chyna as the titular She-Hulk – a character she also apparently played in Braun’s The Avengers XXX. Thankfully the wrestler-turned-adult-star is seemingly perfectly suited for the role given her “hulking” size and mono-syllabic repartee. Chyna shares the role of She-Hulk with Gracie Glam, who plays her alter-ego Jennifer Walters, the lawyer turned superhero who spends the majority of the film sans clothes and gobbling cock.
The plot, if you can call it that, is told in flashback, and sees Jennifer Walters, cousin of Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk) shot by a gunman working for mob boss Nicholas Trask, Banner performs an emergency transfusion, which saves her life but transforms her into She-Hulk – who is then kidnapped by Hydra in the hopes of creating a She-Hulk army. Along the way She-Hulk/Jennifer meets up, and has copious amounts of sex with, the Fantastic Four (including a lesbian tryst with the Invisible Woman), a Hydra cell and the Avengers’ Hawkeye, played by Eric Masterson (who, frankly, looks remarkably like Jeremy Renner with his mask on), who is in L.A. to set up the West Coast Avengers!
The film follows the standard porn-movie pacing. A brief piece of story, 10/15 minute sex scene, another brief piece of story, more sex scenes; ad infinitum. But hey, if you’re watching these types of flicks you know that already right? Having never seen Braun’s other superhero efforts I can’t comment whether She-Hulk XXX features the “great storytelling” of Batman XXX, Superman XXX or The Avengers XXX. What I will say is that this movie actually feels like the first issue of a comic – not much story but plenty of action!
If you’ve always wondered what it would be like to see the Invisible Woman and She-Hulk 69-ing, if Madame Hydra uses her Hydra agents as sex slaves, or if Hawkeye’s cock was a strong as his arrows, then She-Hulk XXX is the film for you. Me? Well I’ll be honest, I was intrigued to see what Chyna could bring to the role of She-Hulk – which turned out to be nothing more than a startling pink pussy (against the green body paint, which gets everywhere) and a complete lack of enthusiasm for the sex scenes.
I think I’ll keep my superheroes and porn separate from now on thanks… She-Hulk XXX: An Axel Braun Parody is available now from Vivid Video.
