‘WWE Raw’ Review (Apr 27th 2026)

Match #1: Penta def. Rusev

Just as the match was about to begin, new Raw Superstar Ethan Page made his way to ringside to watch the matchup. Rusev connected with the Machka kick, but it was not enough to put away the champion. After a back-and-forth thriller, Penta caught The Bulgarian Brute with a rollup to get the victory.

Match #2: Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Becky Lynch def. IYO SKY

After IYO SKY answered an Open Challenge from Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, the two faced off with the title on the line. The Man tried going for the Man-handle Slam, but SKY reversed it and dropped Lynch with a nasty powerbomb on the mat outside of the ring. SKY nailed an Asai Moonsault over the top rope, losing a shoe in the process. As SKY was getting back into the ring, Asuka arrived to attack SKY behind the referee’s back. The Man took advantage by hitting the Man-handle Slam to defeat SKY and retain her title.

Match #3: Rey Mysterio def. El Grande Americano

After a backstage altercation with Rey Mysterio, El Grande Americano took on the WWE Hall of Famer. Rayo and Bravo were at ringside to watch El Grande, and they used the numbers advantage to weaken Mysterio. Bravo inserted a steel plate into Americano’s mask, limiting the effect of Mysterio’s 619. As Americano tried to hit a move with the weaponized mask, the “Original” Americano arrived to thwart his rival. This allowed Mysterio to hit the 619 before Dropping the Dime to get the win.

Match #4: Oba Femi def. Grayson Waller

The Ruler made quick work of Grayson Waller, nailing the Fall From Grace to get the fast win. After the match, Oba Femi declared he would be issuing “Oba Challenges” to the roster each week.

Match #5: Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez def. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

Roxanne Perez returned home to Laredo, Texas as she teamed with Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez to take on Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan watching. The Laredo WWE Universe were fully behind Perez as they dismantled Bayley and Valkyria. Morgan kept trying to distract Bayley and Valkyria, which was effective as Bayley attacked Morgan. This allowed Perez to hit Pop Rox on Bayley to get the victory for The Judgment Day.

Final Verdict: 3/5
This was a solid, if unspectacular, episode of Raw that leaned more on advancing stories and setting up future directions than delivering a stacked night of in-ring action. Becky Lynch vs Iyo Sky was comfortably the standout, mixing strong wrestling with storyline progression, while Rey Mysterio’s bout brought some fun sports-entertainment chaos. Penta and Rusev was decent enough, though it never quite hit the level it could have, and Oba Femi’s squash was more angle than match. The women’s tag continued Judgment Day’s momentum well, but the show overall felt like a bridge episode rather than a must-see Raw. Entertaining in places, purposeful throughout, but lacking that extra spark to elevate it beyond good weekly TV.
