‘WWE Raw’ Review (Mar 2nd 2026)
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Gunther def. Dragon Lee
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
As The Ring General was making his entrance, Dragon Lee attacked him, but Gunther sent Lee over the barricade. Gunther landed a devastating Powerbomb on the apron before hitting a huge Powerbomb on the announce table. Before the referee could count out Lee, The Ring General went for another Powerbomb, but Lee countered with a sunset flip. Lee then connected with a huge dive to the outside to discombobulate Gunther. Lee hit an Operation Dragon on the outside, but Gunther made it back to the ring before the 10-count. Lee once again went for Operation Dragon, but Gunther locked in the Sleeper Hold before ripping off Lee’s mask and forcing him to tap out.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Match #2: “Original” El Grande Americano def. Rayo Americano
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
As the war between the El Grande Americanos continued, The Original took on Rayo Americano. The Original tried to rip the mask off Bravo, but this allowed the current Americano to give a headbutt to The Original. Rayo followed with a diving headbutt, but The Original kicked out. Eventually, The Original nailed a Chaos Theory German Suplex to win the match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: Jimmy Uso def. Austin Theory (DQ)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jimmy Uso battled Austin Theory after attacking The Vision earlier in the evening. Just as Jimmy was about to hit a huge splash on the announce table, Logan Paul attacked Jimmy to end the match in a disqualification. Jey Uso made his way to ringside and gave a crutch to his brother as he and Jimmy leveled The Vision with crutches before hitting a 1D on Theory.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5
Match #4: Intercontinental Championship – Penta def. Dominik Mysterio
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio defended his title against Penta, despite being cursed by Danhausen earlier in the evening. Mysterio and Penta brawled to the outside as Dominik leveled Penta with a clothesline over the barricade. JD McDonagh and Finn Bálor were ringside to watch the match, but neither moved in the early proceedings, as Penta kept looking over his shoulder. Dominik asked McDonagh to get the ring bell hammer, but Bálor prevented McDonagh from doing so and said Dominik should win by himself. Moments later, Penta evaded the 619 before hitting the Mexican Destroyer to win the Intercontinental Title.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
Overall, this week’s Raw felt like a tale of two shows. On one hand, you had genuinely compelling in-ring action – particularly Gunther vs. Dragon Lee, which blended brutality and lucha flair in a way that made The Ring General look monstrous while still giving Lee plenty of shine. The Intercontinental Title bout between Dominik Mysterio and Penta also delivered, with the looming Judgment Day tension adding a welcome layer of intrigue before Penta’s emphatic Mexican Destroyer sealed the deal. On the other hand, the middle portion of the card sagged. The El Grande Americano feud continues to feel more novelty than necessity, and Jimmy Uso vs. Austin Theory ending in a predictable Logan Paul DQ angle did little beyond advancing a storyline we’ve seen variations of before. The show wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t firing on all cylinders either. The highs were strong, the lows were skippable, and the show ultimately felt solid rather than spectacular.
