‘WWE Raw’ Review (Feb 24th 2025)
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on the now Netflix-broadcast show!

Match #1: Triple Threat Match – Ludwig Kaiser def. Penta and Pete Dunne
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After his enigmatic debut, Penta took on Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne in a thrilling Triple Threat Match. Penta showcased his tremendous athleticism, delivering a hurricanrana to Dunne that sent Dunne straight into Kaiser. As Penta looked to clinch the win, Kaiser yanked the back of Penta’s mask, allowing Dunne to hit a Bitter End on Penta. Kaiser, however, broke up the pinfall. Penta shockingly hit a Mexican Destroyer on Dunne, but Kaiser took advantage by sending Penta outside the ring and landing a DDT on Dunne to steal the match.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: The New Day def. Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After injuring Rey Mysterio two weeks ago, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro looked for retribution on Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. They could not overcome The New Day, however, as Woods hit an assisted top-rope stomp on Del Toro to win the match. After the bout, Dragon Lee attempted to save his teammates from a beatdown, but Kingston and Woods soon overwhelmed him with a vicious beating.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #3: Gunther def. Akira Tozawa
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Gunther dismantled Akira Tozawa by locking in the Sleeper Hold and cliaming the win by causing him to pass out. After the match, The Ring General locked Otis in a Sleeper Hold until Jey Uso chased the champion from the ring.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5
Match #4: Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Lyra Valkyria def. Dakota Kai
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a rematch of their highly touted battle to crown the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai clashed for Valkyria’s title. Valkyria used her strength early, hitting a superb delayed superplex that elicited a huge response from the WWE Universe. Kai struck back with a wicked kick followed by a unique backbreaker that almost paved the way for a new champion. Valkyria responded by nailing the Nightwing to retain her Women’s Intercontinental Title.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #5: Bron Breakker def. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio (DQ)
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker battled “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio in a battle of generational Superstars. Breakker hit a huge Spear early, sending Mysterio to the outside to regroup. Mysterio used Finn Bálor and Carlito at ringside to his advantage, with their interference allowing Mysterio to land a 619. As Mysterio was about to hit a frog splash, Breakker leapt to the top rope to hit a Frankensteiner on Mysterio. Carlito and Bálor then attacked Breakker to end the match in a disqualification. After the match, The Judgment Day tried to beat down Breakker, but the Intercontinental Champion blasted Carlito with a Spear and engaged Bálor in a staredown before The Prince and the rest of The Judgment Day exited.
My Score: 2 out of 5
Match #6:WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez def. Bianca Belair & Naomi
The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bianca Belair and Naomi put their WWE Women’s Tag Team Title on the line against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in a highly personal fight. Belair and Naomi believed that Morgan and Rodriguez were to blame for the attack on Jade Cargill after they were seen leaving the scene of the crime. Belair had Rodriguez up for the K.O.D., but Rodriguez blinded Belair, allowing Morgan to hit an assisted Codebreaker that nearly spelled the end of Belair and Naomi’s reign. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio then interfered, giving Morgan the chance to clatter Naomi with an Oblivion. Belair broke up the pinfall just in the nick of time, sending the WWE Universe into a frenzy. Mysterio saved the match once again for The Judgment Day, putting Morgan’s foot on the ropes after an assisted K.O.D. from Belair and Naomi. After incredible back-and-forth action, Rodriguez slammed Naomi’s head into the ringpost, which allowed Morgan to get the pinfall, making Morgan and Rodriguez the first three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3/5
Another less-than-stellar week or Raw, though it was better than last week at least. As a consolation we did get three good matches on this show – the opening triple threat, the Women’s Intercontinental Championship and the main event for the Women’s Tag Team title. The rest of this episode felt inconsequential and somewhat thrown together – Gunther versus Tozawa? Like WTF?!
