‘WWE Raw’ Review (Nov 4th 2024)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Women’s No. 1 Contender Battle Royal – Winner: Iyo Sky

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

An historic Women’s Battle Royal in Saudi Arabia came down to Lyra Valkyria, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and IYO SKY. After Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez pulled Belair and Cargill out of the ring to the floor to cause a double elimination, the irate WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions chased them into the crowd. Then in a final battle on the apron, SKY hit a beautiful German suplex to finally eliminate Valkyria and earn the right to challenge Morgan for the Women’s World Title.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5

Match #2: The War Raiders def. The New Day

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Just when it seemed Kofi Kingston was set to hit Trouble in Paradise, Xavier Woods tagged himself into the matchup. The miscommunication allowed The War Raiders to regain control and defeat Woods with the War Machine.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: Dragon Lee def. Chad Gable

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

When Chad Gable put his feet on the ropes to attempt to steal a win over Dragon Lee, Zelina Vega knocked them off. In response, Ivy Nile locked Vega in the Dragon Sleeper at ringside. This brought Rey Mysterio to the ring to check on Vega. As he did, Gable reached outside the ring and attempted to rip off the WWE Hall of Famer’s mask, allowing Lee to hit Master Gable with Operation Dragon for the three-count.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #4: Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender Match – Damian Priest def. Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Sheamus and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Bronson Reed suddenly emerged to hit Damian Priest and Sheamus with Tsunamis before smashing Seth “Freakin” Rollins through the announce table with another Tsunami that effectively cost The Visionary a chance to secure a World Heavyweight Title Match against Gunther. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio attempted to capitalize on the chaos, but Priest caught him leaping off the top rope and blasted him with South of Heaven to pick up the monumental victory.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Final Verdict: 2.5/5

Another average show this week, with only two out of the four matches really worth your time. This show was really all about the main event, with Dirty Dom almost…almost… stealing a victory. Good god, what would a Gunther versus Dom match look like? Like last week, this show was made all the better by the War Raiders in tag-team action – and the team are only just getting back into the swing of things after a lengthy absence!
