‘WWE Raw’ Review (Jun 24th 2024)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Ludwig Kaiser def. Bron Breakker (DQ)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Sheamus attacked Ludwig Kaiser to cause a premature end to Kaiser’s match against Bron Breakker. As The Celtic Warrior lifted Kaiser to hurl him onto the announce table, an irate Breakker blasted him off his feet with a Spear.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Match #2: Money in the Bank Ladder Match Triple Threat Match – Lyra Valkyria def. Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The dynamic Lyra Valkyria overcame Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane in a fast-paced Triple Threat showdown, hitting Night Wing on Sane to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Match #3: Money in the Bank Ladder Match Triple Threat Match – Chad Gable def. Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

When The Judgment Day emerged to beat down Braun Strowman, Chad Gable seized the opportunity and hit a picturesque moonsault on “Big” Bronson Reed to earn his spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #4: Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn def. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Moments after Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter with a devastating Gory Bomb/leg sweep combination, Damage CTRL emerged to unleash a post-match assault on both tag teams.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #5: Karrion Kross def. Kofi Kingston

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

When AOP attacked Xavier Woods backstage, the distraction allowed Karrion Kross to defeat Kofi Kingston with the Final Prayer.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #6: World Tag Team Championship – Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh def. Awesome Truth

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan climbed onto the apron and dropped R-Truth on the top rope, it set up Finn Bálor to hit the Coup de Grace so that he and JD McDonagh could capture the World Tag Team Championship from Awesome Truth.

My Score: 3 out of 5

News of the Night:

  1. Bo Dallas / Uncle Howdy cut a stunning promo, showing a more “human” side to his character (probably how they’re going to avoid the supernatural elements of the Wyatt legacy)

Final Verdict: 3/5

Another great episode of Raw. This week’s show opened strong with two back-to-back great matches before settling into a good-but-not-great groove leading us into the SUPERB promo from Bo Dallas and the main event, which gave us the Judgment Day back as tag champs and the added intrigue of Liv Morgan seemingly accepted by Finn and JD as the match closed… Interesting.
