‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Sep 18th 2025)

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling. Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Mustafa Ali def. Brian Myers

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

The war between Order 4 and The System continues as Mustafa Ali battles Brian Myers! Tensions are rising between members of both factions at ringside. Ali capitalizes, taking out Myers with a dive to the outside. Myers attempts a top rope elbow drop but he’s slowed down by The Great Hands. Ali traps Myers in a pinning predicament to score the victory.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #2: Judas Icarus def. Eric Young

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

Judas Icarus steps up to his former ally in The Northern Armory, the tyrannical Eric Young! Icarus quickly brings the fight to Young with a dive to the floor. In the ring, Young hits a thudding powerbomb to gain the momentary advantage. Icarus almost puts Young away with a top rope Frog Splash. Young blocks the referee’s vision while delivering a low blow to Icarus. Young is going for the Piledriver when Joe Hendry appears! Icarus takes advantage of the distraction, pinning Young for three.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance) def. Masha Slamovich & The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

In a preview of both the TNA Knockouts World Title and TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title matches at Victory Road, The Elegance Brand face off against Masha Slamovich and The IInspiration! The Elegance Brand try to retreat in the early going, but they’re stopped by their opposition. Slamovich chases The Personal Concerige around ringside where she’s met with a superkick from M. Lee is about to tag into the match when Ash rips her off the apron. Moments later, Slamovich makes the tag to Slamovich instead. The pace quickens as Slamovich goes on the attack. The Personal Concierge inadvertantly slides the title belt to Lee but the referee stops her from using it. Ash splashes champagne in Lee’s eyes, allowing M to pin her for three.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #4: Indi Hartwell def. Dani Luna (DQ)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

The new-attitude Dani Luna looks to make a statement at the expense of No. 1 Contender Indi Hartwell! Luna sends her throat-first into the top rope. Hartwell tries to fight back but Luna shuts her down with a Lariat. Hartwell finally finds an opening but Luna retreats to the outside. Luna hits Hartwell with a steel chair to cause the disqualification.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #5: Mike Santana def. AJZ

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

TNA newcomer AJZ explains that he technically defeated Mike Santana last week after Santana was attacked by TNA World Champion Trick Williams on his way to the ring and unable to compete. Now, they are set for a rematch! Santana makes quick work of AJZ, putting him away with Spin the Block for the dominant victory.

My Score: 0 out of 5

Match #6: TNA World Tag Team Championship – The Hardys (Matt & Jeff) def. The Nemeths (Nic & Ryan)

The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

It’s main event time as The Nemeths challenge The Hardys in their contractual rematch for the TNA World Tag Team Championship! Matt Cardona joins Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary, while TNA President Carlos Silva and Anthem Board Member Rick Ehrman watch on from ringside. Ryan Nemeth gets into a confrontation with Ehrman before the match begins. Minutes later, Nic avoids Whisper in the Wind from Jeff, allowing The Nemeths to take control. The Nemeths cut off the ring and begin to wear Jeff down. Jeff is able to create separation and take out both of The Nemeths with Whisper in the Wind, before making the tag to Matt. The tide is turning as Matt hits Nic with the Side Effect for two. Nic bounces back with the Famouser, followed by double team offense from The Nemeths. Ryan grabs the title belt but Cardona leaves commentary to stop him from using it. Matt hits Ryan with the Twist of Fate, followed by the Swanton Bomb from Jeff to retain.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5

Final Verdict: 3/5

This week’s TNA delivered a middle-of-the-road show that had its moments but never quite hit full stride. The in-ring action was solid, with a few of matches showcasing the company’s talent well known for, but the pacing often dragged and the in-show “shows” leave a lot to be desired (and one shoulkd be dropped like a brick). Storyline progression was present—some rivalries moved forward in meaningful ways but a few segments didn’t capture much energy from the crowd. The tag team main event offered enough excitement to close on a stronger note, yet it wasn’t a blow-away match. Overall, it was a decent episode – not bad, not great, but serviceable. Which seems to be TNA’s motto in their “friends with WWE” era
