‘TNA Wrestling’ Review (Aug 14th 2025)
Welcome to this week’s review of TNA Wrestling. Let’s get straight into the review and see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: TNA World Champion Trick Williams & FIR$T CLA$$ (A.J. Francis & Rich Swann) def. The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards & JDC)
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
The fight immediately spills to the outside as JDC takes out everyone with aerial offense! Francis sends JDC tumbling to the floor, allowing Swann to gain control for his team. Williams hits JDC with a Trick Kick for two. JDC creates separation with a suplex to Francis, allowing him to tag in Myers. The match begins to break down as Myers disposes of Williams over the top rope. From behind, Swann pins Myers with his feet on the ropes to win.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #2: Indi Hartwell & Dani Luna def. Myla Grace & Harley Hudson
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Indi Hartwell and Dani Luna join forces once again as they battle rising stars Myla Grace and Harley Hudson! The early advantage goes to Grace and Hudson as they cut off the ring and wear Luna down. Luna hits Grace with a German suplex before making the tag to Hartwell. The pace quickens as Hartwell hits Grace with Hurts Donut for three.
My Score: 3 out of 5
Match #3: Matt Cardona def. John Skyler
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
The action continues as Matt Cardona steps up to John Skyler of Order 4! Skyler knees Cardona off the apron, sending him face-first into a chair at ringside. Jason Hotch gets involved at ringside as Skyler distracts the referee. Cardona goes for the Reboot but Tasha Steelz puts herself in harm’s way. Cardona neutralizes Hotch and puts Skyler away with Radio Silence.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5
Match #4: Mike Santana def. Eric Young
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Before Mike Santana battles Sami Callihan one-on-one at Emergence, he must first get through Eric Young tonight! It doesn’t take long for The Northern Armory to get involved as they attack Santana at ringside. Minutes later, Santana retaliates as he wipes out Judas Icarus and Travis Williams with a dive to the outside. Santana hits Young with the Rolling Buck 50. Young soars a top rope elbow drop for two. Santana scores the victory with Spin the Block.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5
Match #5: Cedric Alexander & The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed) def. Leon Slater & The Hardys (Jeff & Matt)
The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
In a preview of both the TNA X-Division Title and TNA World Tag Team Title matches at Emergence, Leon Slater and The Hardys take on Cedric Alexander and The Rascalz in our main event! The action is fast and furious as both teams jockey for control of the matchup. Matt picks Wentz off the top with a thudding Superplex. Jeff brings the fight to Alexander, dropping him with the Whisper in the Wind. Slater takes out both of The Rascalz with a double handspring back elbow. Matt hits Wentz with the Side Effect but is immediately taken out with a running knee from Alexander. Slater and The Hardys hit sequential Twist of Fates on their opponents. Slater leaps off the back of Matt to wipe out everyone on the outside. Slater soars with Big Play Slater. Back in the ring, Alexander pins Slater with the Lumbar Check.
My Score: 4 out of 5
Final Verdict: 3.5/5
This week’s episode of iMPACT! was a tightly paced, high-stakes go-home show that delivered exactly what it needed to: momentum, tension, and a clear roadmap for Emergence. Every match and segment had purpose—from Trick Williams’ underhanded triumph, to Santana’s gritty victory and dramatic save from Callihan, all the way to the explosive King’s Speech brawl. Crowd reactions were well-orchestrated, especially the aura of Rosemary’s mist and the palpable urgency in backstage confrontations. The only real criticism? A few matches felt rushed, but that’s an inevitable trade-off for such a stacked card with so much on the line. Ultimately, it was a compelling and efficient episode—a blueprint for how a go-home show should build drama heading into a major event.
