Friday Night Smackdown – Nov 10th 2023: Results & Review

by Phil Wheat

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s episode!

Match #1: Bobby Lashley def. Carlito

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Carlito stepped back into the ring to combat Bobby Lashley in his first singles match since his return. Carlito and Lashley squared off for the first time ever, despite their Ruthless Aggression history. Moments before the match, Carlito levied accusations toward Santos Escobar, making this match much more charged. Carlito came out swinging, even lifting The All Mighty to hit an all mighty suplex. Unfortunately for Carlito, the numbers game was too much with Montez Ford getting a cheap shot on Carlito, leading to a Spear for an All Mighty win.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #2: Dragon Lee def. Cedric Alexander

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Dragon Lee and Cedric Alexander ran it back after electrifying the WWE Universe two weeks ago. Lee and Alexander wowed the WWE Universe with Alexander launching Lee into the turnbuckle and Lee hitting a superb sit-out powerbomb. The outcome was the same, with Lee scoring another victory, continuing his roll on the blue brand.

My Score: 3 out of 5

Match #3: LA Knight def. Grayson Waller

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After verbally eviscerating Grayson Waller, LA Knight took out his frustrations on The Arrogant Aussie in the ring, as Waller’s night turned from bad to worse. Waller attempted to put away Knight with the rolling stunner, but Knight countered and eventually hit the BFT for the win.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Match #4: Six Woman Tag Match – Damage CTRL vs. Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Asuka

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The newly united group of Damage CTRL, with Kairi Sane joining their ranks, took on Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Asuka in Sane’s first match since her return. However, the fireworks that erupted during the match shocked the WWE Universe. As Belair was about to tag in Asuka, The Empress of Tomorrow misted The EST, causing the match to end in a no-contest. Asuka then joined Bayley, IYO SKY and Sane in ruthlessly pummeling Belair and The Queen.

My Score: 2 out of 5

Final Verdict: 2.5/5

Apart from the surprises from the women this week and the spotfest that was the Dragon Lee/Cedric Alexander match, this episode of Smackdown was remarkably mediocre. And remarkably skippable. Avoid IMHO.
