4 TV Shows That You Should Watch Today
The popularity of video streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime ushered television into what seems the golden age of TV. TV series have never been as good as there now, with productions worth even jaw-dropping billion dollars – think the Rings of Power on Amazon or House of the Dragon.
That being said, there are some TV Shows that are better than others, and obviously, what stands out in the market has not always quality; however, here we have managed to compile the list of only high-quality TV Shows that are well-written and original in their own way.
Kakegurui
The Hyakkaou Private Academy oozes opulence and drama; although the students are not valued for their knowledge by the gambling result and skills, this is a unique take on the popular manga series on Netflix. If you want to watch great anime based on an original story with eccentric and nuanced characters, don’t make sure to give Kakegurui a watch. If you also want to try like challenging casino games, you’ll be glad to know that they are reliable online casinos that offer a great portfolio of first-class slot games, poker, baccarat, and blackjack, in many variations. What’s more, they offer a solid range of bonuses and promotions that also include free spins casino games.
The Watcher
Based on real events, the Watcher is based on original elements in the real story. The production team definitely had the creative freedom to change some aspects of it, but otherwise, it’s actually a very good TV show with a star-studded cast. It follows a couple who wants to move to suburban New Jersey and actually thinks they have found their ideal home to raise a family and become part of the community there, but unfortunately, soon after the relocation receives threatening letters which become even more violent in nature as someone is obviously not just watching them, but it has keen knowledge on everything that’s going on in their lives and their own house.
My Brilliant Friend
The award-winning adaptation of Elena Ferrante’sgripping novels is in the third season. It follows the friendship and tumultuous nature of the relationship between oh Lila and Elena, who grew up in Naples in the 1950s. The performance is beautiful, as well as the direction, and although they sort of grew apart in adulthood and their own personal battles connect them back to their hometown. The story covers over 60 years in their lives, especially the way they have navigated their personal relationship and dangers with the Solara family.
This Is Going to Hurt
The series is adapted from the memoir of Adam Kay, an ob-gyn who eventually decides to quit his job and publish his day-to-day life as a doctor in the NHS. It’s a very beautifully written story that, although it has ridiculous and a laugh out loud moments, also depicts the grueling reality of doctors and nurses in the NHS who struggled to steal float with an increasing number of patients and shortage of funds as well as overburdened bureaucracy.
At the same time, we get a closer look at Adam, who initially is the villain in his own story because although he has good intentions, he is quite overworked and, at times sloppy physician. We also meet his colleagues that are equally beaten up by the system, but they still try to do their best for the patient. Shruti is also one character that comes to mind. She struggles in the beginning as someone who feels like a fish out of water while she’s studying for her GCSEs and at the same time working long shifts at the hospital. Adam initially mentors her, but she finds the pressure overbearing.
