News of the Night:

  1. The “invaders” from Ring of Honor returned on this show, with Mike Bennett and Vincent attacking D’Lo Brown at the commentary desk before PCO put him through a table!
  2. Chelsea Green challenged Tasha Steelz to a match next week.
  3. Charlie Haas debuted on Impact, interrupting Josh Alexander’s promo.
  4. Steve Maclin will face Jonathan Gresham in a ROH World Title match next week.

Final Verdict: 3/5

Well this was an interesting episode of Impact… The show opened strong with two back to back great matches. But then what happened Impact? Three squash matches in a row? Really?! Thank god then for the fantastic main event; a main event whose outcome was a total surprise. Never expected Purrazzo to pick up the ROH Women’s title at all but that’s what happened and I’m here for it. So will we see her become a belt collector and finally regain the Impact Women’s title too? Would love to see that happen and have her retain the titles for ages a la Kenny Omega. Especially given that there’s (as I’ve mentioned before) not many women on her level in Impact.
