Friday Night Smackdown – Oct 1st 2021: Results & Review

by Nathan Favel

Welcome to this week’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the WWE Draft, which is the most important night of the year. Chrismas? F–k it! Thanksgiving? F–k it! Yom Kippur? F–k it! Boy Scout Poking Day? Not me! I had nothing to do with that! I don’t bugger kids! What am I, a scout-master?! I am so excited about this show I forgot was happening. Who will go where? Roman Reigns: I’m going… BANG! Me: Suck s–t mid-carder! If I ever have to watch your face move ever again I’ll go into a f–kin’ coma…like you will…because you’re dead! Paul Heyman: My tribal chief! What have you don… BANG! Me: That’s for letting Tommy Dreamer wear pants while wrestling! F–k you and your little dog too! Brock Lesnar: Where’s my Jew? BANG! Me: Up your ass and to the left! Terri Runnels: Hey Brock! Look at my d–k, b–ch! ZIP! Me: Want some Doritos? TR: F–k yeah! Me: The 2021 WWE Draft starts now!

[Author’s Note: This show sucks. Also, Brock Lesnar, who was accused of exposing himself to a woman without her permission, is on this show (a show that sucks) and if that alarms or upsets you, then viewer discretion is advised].

Match #1: Happy Corbin def. Kevin Owens

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

With his cackling friend Madcap Moss in his corner to cause the distraction, Happy Corbin hit End of Days (or “Happy Days” depending who you ask) onto the unforgiving ringside floor. He then overcame KO with a second End of Days inside the ring for the win.

The Verdict: 1 out of 10

Match #2: Liv Morgan vs. Carmella (No Contest)

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In the wake of her victory over Carmella at WWE Extreme Rules, Liv Morgan gave the self-proclaimed “Most Beautiful Woman in All of WWE” a rematch on the blue brand. Before the match could begin, though, Carmella exited the ring and had her people put some sort of protective mask on her face. She then used the apparatus to attack Liv before planting her face-first into the canvas.

The Verdict: 0 out of 10

Match #3: The Street Profits & The New Day def. Alpha Academy & Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Newly-drafted SmackDown Superstars Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods used tag team precision to get the pin on Robert Roode and the victory for The New Day and The Street Profits.

The Verdict: 5 out of 10

Match #4: (Main Event) Sasha Banks def. Bianca Belair

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Sasha Banks returned to SmackDown to battle The EST of WWE in a highly anticipated WrestleMania Rematch with SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch looking on from the commentary desk. Becky found herself in a war or words with the combatants, and before Belair could get back in the ring, The Man held her hair against the apron where the official couldn’t see it. This allowed The Boss to roll up The EST of WWE for the pinfall.

The Verdict: 8 out of 10

What the f–k was this? One match worth seeing and three that was like watching messed-up river-dancin’. The first match was a s–t. Nothing happened in it! Happy Corbin won? F–k you! Then, we got Live Organ getting jacked off the winning path by Cummella, who wore a sock on her face for ten seconds so Captain Morgan wouldn’t make her face wouldn’t look like s–t. Oh…and nothing happened! The third match was okay. That’s a compliment compared to what I said about the first two f–kers. The Cup Pimps and The IHOP Boys were very exciting. That’s it! It’s not like they gave it the ol’ Brisco elbow-grease try! Tag in? F–k that! You ask me nicely if I even want to come into the match! What have you done for me lately?! The main event…there you go. Them there ladies got to whoopin’ on each other like me on me on a lonely night. I sure do need me a woman. Sasha, who actually showed up this time, and Bianca, who might just be Mike Epps in a wig, had a battle that was on par with their match from SummerSlam… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah right! Now, their WrestleMania match was good and this match was on par with that sumb–ch. You had the grappling and the countering and the…they hit each other too. I liked the way this fight carried on throwin’ the leg. Back in Urlanna, Georgia, Hotlanna isself, the UrTL, they are watching this match, seeing Sasha bring the mayhem to Bianca, who forgot to get a haircut again. Hey Bianca! Write it down next time! You keep forgettin’ and you’re liable to trip all over if you give yourself a comb-over! Holy s–t, Batman! Sasha and Bianca took the fight all over the ring and it was a taut fight drenched in white-hot tenson that dripped gripping suspense. Why was this the only match on the show that was good?! Why can’t it be more than one?! Vince McMahon can kiss my ass! Paul Atredes: The spice… BANG! Me: We’re not doing the “Dune” one yet! You wait, mother-f–ker! Some of those draft picks up above are good. Drew on SmackDown works well. Drew doesn’t draw a dime yet, but neither does Roman, so they’ll get along great. Kevin Owens is probably going to AEW by February of next year, so it might not matter where he goes. Becky might go to Raw…or not. Charlotte made it back to the blue brand, which Andrade El Idolo won’t like because it will keep Charlotte away on a Friday night and he’ll get blue in all the wrong places. What the hell is Vince up too?! What kind of a man c–k-blocks another man?! Maybe Paul Heyman, who will be on Raw to make sure The Usos get drafted to SmackDown, can convince Vince…convince Vince…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! I’m laughing because that will never happen…and because I said Vince in the word “convince” and the f–ker’s name in the same sentence. Boy was this show s–t. It was pretty s–t. Boy was this a lousy show. Well, I’ll see you next time.
