‘WWE 205 Live’ Review (May 14th 2021)

by Nathan Favel

Welcome to this week’s 205 Live review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Donald Trump peeing. Donald Trump: I’m peeing! Whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz whiz! Me: We’ve got more new arrivals! Here we go! DT: I’m pissing…pissing you off!

Match #1: Asher Hale def. Ariya Daivari

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Ariya Daivari has made no secrets of his bitter disdain toward 205 Live rookies, and after what happened in his match against the debuting Asher Hale, The Persian Prince seems likely to hold newcomers in even higher contempt. Decked out in a black vest and sporting several tattoos, Hale hung with Daivari from bell to bell, though he was left reeling after receiving several clubbing blows and the Persian Splash from Daivari Dinero. The nine-year veteran and self-described “rebel” fought through the pain, however, and he clobbered his foe with an impressive array of suplexes and ducked Daivari’s attempt at a Hammerlock Lariat before rolling him up for the three-count!

The Score: 7 out of 10

Match #2: (Main Event) Tony Nese def. Ari Sterling

The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Score one for The 205 Live OGs, as Tony Nese got redemption for Daivari’s loss to Hale by picking up a tough win over Ari Sterling, who was competing in his second match on 205 Live after defeating Samir Singh last week. Just as he did seven days ago, Sterling took to the skies early and often, and the strategy paid dividends when he sent Nese careening to the canvas with a hurricanrana from the top rope and when he moonsaulted off the inside of the middle rope to flatten The Premier Athlete at ringside. Nese, however, derailed Sterling with a thumb to the eye, suplexed him neck-first into the bottom turnbuckle and blasted him with Running Nese to pick up the victory.

The Score: 8 out of 10

Final Verdict: 7/10

I chewed buffalo in the ass! What a fine little trinket of a show this was. You get new wrestlers working with regulars and they all blended well together to build-up the roster for a show that desperately needs new blood in the veins. Andrew Dismukes: I’m boring. Me: Yeah. Go away. Andrew Dismukes: Awwwwwwwwww. Frasier isn’t British. I learned that the hard way. Me: Good. Shut up. AD: I like boobs. Me: That’s because you are one. AD: Yeah. Me: I was happy to see the matches go well. That’s all. I bet you hated the matches. F—k you! Who the hell do you think you are?! You son of a bitch! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you! Kill you dead! Asher Hale is great! You will learn to love him! Tony Nese doesn’t need to be on the main roster! He has this show! You shut the f—k up! I’ll see you next time!
