Fred sits down with Giles Alderson and Lucinda Rhodes Thakar to discuss his process as an editor, what got him started and how it felt being nominated at this years awards ceremonies. He talks about editing Taken starring Liam Neeson, Safe starring Jason Statham and Blumhouse’s Sinister and what the difference is between genres as an editor. He discusses the merits of the editor getting the script early and being on set. Working with directors Luc Besson, Pierre Morell, Chris Nahon and Emerald Fennell plus why you need to connect to the movie, how storytelling is key and why you need to edit with your gut/instincts and why editing is like being a midwife.
