‘NWA Powerrr: Super Powerrr’ Review (May 12th 2020)

by Nathan Favel

Welcome to this season finale of the National Wrestling Alliance’s Powerrr with a special called Super Powerrr. I’m Nathan Favel and you’re on Nerdly, which has been sheltering me ever since I escaped from prison for trying to kill Superman for wearing red underwear over his pants…LIKE THE DOOFUS THAT HE IS! In the name of the great crab god METUSUKLA, I hereby claim this review to be…WRITTEN!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Match #1: Kamille defeated Maddie Max

My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – Bill Cosby’s wife has to make the bail money some-how. Kamille! Kamille! I don’t want to be in prison! There’s no pudding for the pudding pop! There’s no Kodak film! Neither woman looked bad here, but I wanted more time on the clock, especially for a season finale match.

Match #2: The Rock & Roll Express defeated Aron Stevens & The Question Mark

My Opinion: 2.2 out of 5 – This wasn’t an awful lot, but it’s R&R, so f— it. I would have loved more time, but blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Match #3: Tim Storm defeated Jax Dane – No Disqualification Match

My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was very different from the Death Match version of the No DQ from AEW Dark, but the match was like a shovel over the head from Pamela Anderson and that doesn’t hurt my feelings too much. The battle of former NWA World Champions was a good match to have on the card, but I wish that this would have been a bit more interesting as well.

Match #4: Tasha Steelz defeated Marti Belle & Ashley Vox – Triple Threat Match

My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – These 3-way matches are always a tough thing to ask of the wrestlers, because one person is always left out. These three tried to make it work, but the formula of these matches proved too tough to break away from (they did try though).

Match #5: (Main Event) Nick Aldis & Tom Lattimer defeated Marty Scurll & Brody King

My Opinion: 3.2 out of 5 – This was a solid main event that was low stakes, but high…as a kite. That’s a drug joke. Every-body looked good in the ring and I didn’t mind this being the main event.

News Of The Night:

  1. Next week, we have the start of a new show called NWA: Carnyland.
  2. James Storm and Jax Dane are feuding.
  3. Trevor Murdoch distracted Aron Stevens during his match to continue the feud.

Final Verdict: 2.8/5

This was okay, but felt like a wasted opportunity to have a better show (should have filmed longer matches in the first place).
