‘Ring of Honor’ Review (Dec 15th 2019)

by Nathan Favel

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a couple from the Unauthorized show of a few weeks ago. We’ve got a decent one and a great one, which is less than the critics can say about The Rise Of Skywalker (they’re mad that Leia wasn’t revealed to be Darth Revan because it would have subverted expectations). Anyway, we have a show to get to.

Match #1: Dalton White Castle, Kenny Burger King (w/Amy Rose) and Burger Flip Gordon def. Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger (Beer City Bruiser) and Triple Cheeseburger (Brawler Milonas) – Colt Cabana’s Punderful Six-Man Tag Match

The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:

Even though Gordon abandoned them during the match, Castle and King prevailed thanks to King rolling up Cheeseburger and pinning him while grabbing a handful of tights.

My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – There was some good wrestling in here, but the match was a bit slow overall.

Match #2: (Main Event) RUSH and Dragon Lee def. LifeBlood (Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams)

The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:

There were no quirky stipulations or joking around in this match, as the four intense competitors went at it in a thrilling, hard-hitting matchup. RUSH notched yet another victory after hitting Bull’s Horns on Williams.

My Opinion: 4 out of 5 – This was a fabulous match to watch. These guys went from strength to strength like it was nothing at all. RUSH and DL were absolutely incredible here and LifeBlood was right there with them. With all of the kind of thrilling clash of styles that has made ROH popular over the years, this match was just what the doctor ordered. I’m Wayne Brady b—-!

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

The main event dominated the show and carried the passible parts that came before it to being a very fun show.
