WWE Network Original Reviews: Table for Three – General Managers Special

Table for Three is a great original show idea and I’ve enjoyed watching each episodes over the past five seasons or so. The new episode which landed this week was titled “General Managers Special” and features Eric Bischoff, Kurt Angle and Vickie Guerrero.

Now, if you’ve been a fan of WWE over the past couple of decades you’ll have seen each of these guys feature on WWE programming as a General Manager of either RAW or SmackDown (or both). Kurt Angle is the most recent GM, heading up RAW a year or so back, with the other guys not having done it in a while, but it’s a fun mix, and each of these WWE legends are enthusiastic and likeable as they talk about their individual runs as GM’s in WWE.

Now, the show only ever lasts a half-hour, so there’s not much conversation beyond the topic on hand, so we get very little about anything aside from their times as General Managers, but it’s still a lot of fun. Hearing stories about them being fired (both for real and kayfabe) is interesting, and hearing their honest views on being scripted is also worth hearing. I thought, though it’s short like usual, this was a very nice, fast and entertaining episode of Table for Three.

One of the issues with the show is the lack of time. They could easily talk for an hour or two and not run out of things to talk about, and it shows. They skim over a few subjects and it’s over before it’s really begun, but for what it is, I like Table for Three, and this is a very cool addition to the series. A Hall of Famer and two future Hall of Famers, I’d like to see these guys back for another round.

Table for Three Seasons 1 – 5 are available to stream now on WWE Network
