MCM Comic Con returned to Manchester at the end of last month, with a packed weekend of nerdy goodness taking place between 27th – 28th July at Manchester Central. And when I say packed I mean packed!

Guests included (but weren’t limited to) Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy (amongst many other things), David Mazouz from Gotham, Samantha Ireland, Jen Brown and Shannon McCormick from RWBY, and MCM mainstays Nolan North and Tory Baker, two video game voice performers whose names are synonymous with classics of the genre including Uncharted and The Last of Us.

Besides the guests, MCM Comic Con Manchester features the comic village (itself packed with attending artists and writers – including the AWESOME folks at Reckless Hero and our friends Subversive Comics), a TON of vendors from which you could buy a myriad of geeky goodies (though my wallet was grateful I didn’t spend that much this year), a selection of workshops covering everything from cosplay techniques to writing comics and fantasy fiction and even film making(!), plus the usual cosplay competition, main stage talks and much much more!

Nerdly was there – many thanks to the organisers for giving us the opportunity and for putting on such a fantastic con – on Saturday July 27th, the first day of the convention; from when the doors opened until very late in the afternoon. Check out the gallery of images from the event below… It’s safe to say MCM Comic Con Manchester was busy, VERY busy – even with the chance of rain that day!

And if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to check out our video tour of the MCM show floor right here.
