Grimm Entertainment announce release of ‘The Haunted House on Kirby Road’

Grimmfest’s sister distribution company, Grimm Entertainment, have announced the UK video-on-demand release of the internationally acclaimed The Haunted House on Kirby Road on 7th August 2017. The film – which is inspired by true events and takes its cue from the infamous Kirby Road urban myths in Ontario, Canada, which have been made famous by the internet phenomenon Creepypasta – will be made available on all major transactional video-on-demand platforms, including: Sky Store, Virgin FilmFlex, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Microsoft Video Store and Google Play.

Six stoner best friends discover a viral video of a local teen who disappeared years ago from an alleged haunted house in their neighbourhood. Searching for one last adventure before graduating high school, the teens decide to investigate this local urban legend, only to discover this night could be their worst, and possible last, experience of their lives.

The directorial debut of cult actor Stu Stone (Donnie Darko, Joyride and X-Men: The Animated Series), The Haunted House on Kirby Road premiered at the Toronto Independent Film Festival and went on to win Best Horror Feature at festival. It has since played festivals around the world as well as winning Best Director and Best Cinematography at CineView Film Festival.

The Haunted House on Kirby Road stars a cast of up and coming North American genre stars including Nina Kiri (The Handmaid’s Tale, Let Her Out, The Heretics), Sammi Barber (Precious Cargo), Samantha Cole (Bed of the Dead, Friend With Benefits TV show) and Colin Price (Late Night Double Feature, Bed of the Dead, Motives and Murders: Cracking the Case).
