Inti Creates announce ‘Mighty Gunvolt Burst’ for the Switch
Mighty Gunvolt was available as a freebie to those who bought the original eShop release of Azure Striker Gunvolt from Inti Creates – it was a riff on both the Gunvolt series and Mighty No. 9’s 8-bit “roots”. Whilst Mighty Gunvolt was a digital-only release, Azure Striker Gunvolt was [eventually] released physically, along with it’s sequel, in the US and Japan on the Nintendo 3DS.
Well now the Gunvolt and Mighty No. 9 franchises are combining forces again for Inti Creates newest creation Mighty Gunvolt Burst, which is set to be released on June 15th for the Nintendo Switch and June 29th on the 3DS.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst is a sequel to Mighty Gunvolt, the bite size 2D action game that we released back in 2014 alongside Azure Striker Gunvolt. This time around, threads of fate are bound together in a strange new virtual world!
The game systems have been completely revamped and powered up with lots of new additions, including a deep character customization system that lets you mold and shape your character into the ultimate hero that works best for you!
The classic pixel style graphics have also been completely redone to blur the line between 8-bit and 16-bit and take you back to the golden age of 2D action games!
Inti Creates have also announced that on August 31st, Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack will debut on the Nintendo Switch, which will contain Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, with updated graphics, HD rumble support and more… Check out the trailers for BOTH releases below:
