Amazon’s take on ‘The Tick’ gets a debut date

Amazon Prime Video have announced that Friday 25th August 2017 will be the premiere date for their highly-anticipated superhero comedy series The Tick starring comedy legend Peter Serafinowicz as the titular hero…

Created by executive producer and original illustrator of The Tick, Ben Edlund, the show stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace), Griffin Newman (Search Party) and Valorie Curry (Blair Witch, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2).

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.

The Tick will premiere in the UK and US on Amazon Prime Video on Friday 25th August and will be available globally on Prime Video. Check out the teaser trailer, and images from the show, below:
