Jeff Goldblum heads to ‘Jurassic World 2’
Well, well, Dr. Malcolm I presume… Yes, it would seem that Dr. Ian Malcolm, aka actor Jeff Goldblum, is set to return to the dinosaur business as Goldblum is reportedly going to reprise his wary scientist role in Jurassic World 2. From THR:
Jeff Goldblum is returning to the land of dinosaurs. The actor, who co-starred in 1993’s Jurassic Park and 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will appear in Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s next Jurassic World film. Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, the know-it-all mathematician who came to the park as an insurance consultant — and somehow survived both the original film and the sequel.
Goldblum will be joining Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the film, which will be directed by A Monster Calls helmer J.A. Bayona; and also stars Justice Smith, James Cromwell, Rafe Spall and Toby Jones. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, co-wrote the script for the sequel with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed, Monster Trucks).
Jurassic World 2 is set for release on June 22nd 2018. Check out the first image from the film below:
