New poster for ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’

It’s been a whopping fourteen years since Vin Diesel exploded onto the action movie scene as Xander Cage in xXx; and eleven(!) years since the Ice Cube starring sequel… However despite the huge passing of time it seems Universal thinks audiences are ready and willing to see a third chapter in the franchise and so next year we’re due xXx: The Return of Xander Cage – which sees Vin Diesel take back the reigns, once again teaming with Samuel L. Jackson for some more James Bond-esque extreme sports action!

The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise welcomes back extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, xXx: Return of Xander Cage is a thriller that will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.

Directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, I Am Number Four) and also starring Ruby Rose, Donnie Yen, Rory McCann, Toni Collette, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Deepika Padukone, Danny Wu and 2015 Miss Universe contestant Ariadna Gutierrez, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is unleashed in UK cinemas on January 19th 2017.
