Thought Bubble 2015: Post-Con Report & Interviews
The weekend of 14-15 November saw the annual Thought Bubble comic-con return once more to Leeds, and with it came a cornucopia of artists, writers, and their dazzling creations. Nerdly was on the scene the whole time, keeping an eye out for talented new creators, magnificent cosplay and, of course, invitations to alternate mid-con parties. (Sadly Nerdly was not present at the main event, during which Darryl McDaniels – aka DMC from, um, Run-DMC – so we had to settle for raucous karaoke instead. There may or may not be video evidence of a certain reviewer delivering an electrifying rendition of “Let’s Get It On” somewhere in the world.)
Rather than cover the weekend with our usual post-con writeup, we instead took to the alleys to conduct micro-interviews with as many creators as we could fit in over two days. These aren’t your usual “where do you get your ideas from?” questions, mind: we asked only one question and then had the interviewee come up with one for our next guest. As you might imagine, the resulting video goes in some silly directions.
You can watch our Thought Bubble pass-it-on Interview below, which features The Wicked + The Divine creators Kieron Gillen & Jamie McKelvie as well as Nerdly’s very own Jack Kirby. Let us know what you think in the comments:
